The principle antioxidant enzyme assigned by nature to regulate the negative effects of oxygen is superoxide dismutase. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) together with the complimentary enzyme, catalase (CAT), reduce and recycle the 'oxygen waste products' which are generated during cellular energy production.

Sod and catalase act together to recycle what science calls 'oxygen free radicals'. Oxygen free radicals are unbalanced molecules of oxygen which, if left unattended by SOD and catalase, disrupt energy production, damaging cells, and generally wreak havoc on all systems.

Excess free radicals, the result of an undersupply of SOD and catalase, cause what is termed 'oxidative stress'-the equivalent of 'rusting' an animal's cells and body chemistry.

When an animal's ability to produce SOD and catalase lag behind requirements, fatigue, irritability, sore muscles and joints are often the result. in fact, science has determined that oxidative stress plays a critical role in more than 60 health concerns including inflammation, arthritis, cancer, chemical and radiation poisoning, and the effects of accidental or surgical trauma, to name a few. Aging and lifespan have been shown to have a direct relationship to the levels of SOD and catalase in an animal's body.

Biovet International's Dismutase offers the complete nutrition of the entire sprout, providing all of the nutritional factors required by an animal to produce SOD and catalase in optimal. Biovet Dismutase is the only product with proven ability to raise and sustain favorable antioxidant enzyme levels.

Often used where muscles and skeletal inflamation, injury , sickness, or environmental toxins are an indication of reduced antioxidant enzyme levels, the health and vitality of your animals will prove the value of Biovet Dismutase's antioxidant enzyme nutrition.
